About Paul Rainey

Paul Rainey is a writer, artist, and cartoonist contributor to Viz Comic. He won the Observer newspaper Graphic Short Story Prize in 2020 with his entry Similar To But Not. His graphic novel, Why Don’t You Love Me?, published by Drawn & Quarterly in January 2023, has been included in many Best of the Year lists including the Guardian and The Times, and was voted best graphic novel by readers of Broken Frontier. If you live in Milton Keynes, you may recognise his comic-strip murals Going Backwards and Jog On from The Centre MK.
