Tales from the City: Literary Walk

Tales from the City:
A Literary Walk

Saturday 11 May 2024
Meet at MK Gallery, 900 Midsummer Blvd,
Milton Keynes, MK9 3QA

Starts: 2pm. No booking required: Free/donations welcome

In collaboration with The Parks Trust, we're delighted to offer this literary walk as part of the Walking Festival 2024.

Starting from and finishing at MK Gallery, you will hear how Milton Keynes has a thousand tales to tell. Not just its own history, but the moments in countless lives for which it has been either catalyst or backdrop. Join us for a literary walk around CMK to hear funny, poignant, tender, euphoric, apocalyptic and downright crazy stories and poems selected from the very best of local writing.

The writers – whose work has appeared in MK Lit Fest’s #MinK series of anthologies or been included in their online seasonal ‘Dreams for’ events – will take you on an urban stroll from Milton Keynes Gallery, spinning their tales to bring the city to vibrant life.

The walk begins and ends at MK Gallery, and will take approximately 90 minutes, covering around 2 miles.

Please come prepared for the walk, allowing for the weather and the conditions. The walk will be in an urban environment and should be suitable for wheelchair users.
