Ghusoun Rahhal and Caroline Davies read their literary responses to a Milton Keynes Community Foundation-funded project which brought  together members of the Westbury Fabric and Fibre Guild and of the Middle Eastern Cultural Group to share stories and stitching traditions from their diverse heritage.

About Ghusoun Rahhal

Ghusoun Rahhal is a writer, translator and legal consultant who strives to create positive social change through both her writing and her legal work. Her play Broken Wings, following the journey of a teenage girl fleeing conflict for the UK, recently toured Milton Keynes schools and community venues in collaboration with the Middle Eastern Cultural Group. She has published five novels, and written extensively on gender equality and human rights.

About Caroline Davies
Caroline Davies holds an MA in Writing Poetry from Newcastle University and the Poetry School London. Cinnamon Press published her first two poetry collections, 
Convoy and Voices from Stone and Bronze; her third book, Elements of Water, a pamphlet of poems about Noah’s Ark, was published by Green Bottle.

She has contributed to a wide range of journals including Obsessed with Pipework and Magma, undertaken poetry commissions, and read for Poets for the Planet, Lodestone Poets and many more.
