Dreams for Midwinter

Dreams for Midwinter

A gala of new local writing

Thursday 21 December, Zoom, 7pm
Tickets: £Free

'In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone'
Christina Rossetti

Join us on the evening of the Midwinter Solstice for a special evening of new writing - both poetry and short fiction - that explores the theme of A Dream for Midwinter.

You'll hear a selection of readings from local poets and story-writers who've created new pieces especially for the occasion. Will they focus on the chill and the frost? Will they delight in the joys of what some call 'the festive season'? Will they offer hot toddies and warm hearths, or shrugs and humbugs?
There's only one way to find out...

To submit your writing
Submissions open on 1 September, and will close on 24 November. Anyone aged 14 or older and living, working or studying in an MK postcode is eligible to enter one flash fiction piece and/or up to three poems. We will select 10-12 pieces, to be read on the night by their authors,
