Zine Creator Workshop
(Community Programme: Ages 14-18)
with Lu Williams
Saturday 14 October, 11.30am - 1.30pm
Community Learning MK Classroom, CMK Library,
555 Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes MK9 3HL
Tickets: £Free Limited Places
(Priority given to Summer Creator Programme participants)
Everyone can make a zine, and in this workshop you’ll do just that. We will cover a short history of zines, making techniques including folding, binding, writing and collage activities, group-making and discussion, and writing or drawing exercises to combat fear of the blank page.
Using pieces you’ve already created, or new work made in the moment, you’ll go away with your own zine, and contribute to a collaborative zine of which you’ll get copies.
This encompasses the final session in the Lit Fest’s Summer Creators programme. Priority booking goes to previous workshop participants, but all are welcome.
