MK Lit Fest 2020: An Update

We are sorry to announce that – sadly but we hope understandably – we will not be proceeding with MK Lit Fest 2020 in October.

Our primary concern is, of course, the safety of our audience members, authors and the members of the Festival team, including our wonderful volunteers. While we hope that the situation will have improved by October, this cannot currently be guaranteed: the work to put a festival in place also needs to take place in advance, and to do so at this time would be irresponsible.

We are notifying those authors who had already agreed to participate this year, and letting them know that we still wish to work with them in the future when it becomes possible and practicable to do so.

Until we meet again...

In the meantime, we are delighted to let you know that our MinK2020 Writing Competition is still going ahead, and your submissions will be very welcome.

We are also looking at other ideas that would enable us to continue to support, promote and develop writing and literature in Milton Keynes in this new social landscape, and will announce any developments that come to fruition on all our media platforms.

If you have thoughts and ideas that we could pursue that do not involve direct social interaction, please contact us: your practical contributions would be very welcome.

Once again, we are sorry that we cannot bring you the fourth MK Lit Fest this year, and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Till then, our very best wishes to you all and please do whatever you can to take care of yourselves and of each other in these difficult times.
