As emerging writers, it's not just your pencils you need to keep sharp. To support your writing in a competitive world, your wits, elbows and marketing skills need sharpening too. In this masterclass, Claire Harrison will cover a wide range of areas:
 

  • Creating a website/blog and what it should include

  • Optimising your profile

  • Social Media - content and which platforms to use; goals; networking; launching books or services; using hashtags

  • Optimising your profile

  • Interacting with your audience

  • Building a social media strategy

  • Blogs - why write one? Content; passive and active

  • What is content? - where to find it and how to use it

Claire will also take questions from participants at the end of the session.

Claire Harrison is a freelance marketing communications expert, copywriter, author and Joint Managing Editor of literary magazine, The Phare. She has written and self-published three children’s books and her prose and poetry have appeared in print anthologies and short story collections. She has an MA in Creative and Critical Writing and starts her PhD in Creative Writing in October 2021.
